REEF PANELS, 2016
Cast Lead Crystal, LEDs, Wooden Frame
These panels were the start of a new series of work - and a new, modular, way of working. I created the first three panels using traditional lost wax casting, for Bruntnell-Astley's pop-up exhibition, 'The Heat is On'. But during the making process, realised that I could develop a modular system using silicone - avoiding the need for wax. As image 3 illustrates, this new system allowed for more speedy production of many different compositions.
